Where it all started
This shoot was truly precious and special. At the time of the session, Lennert and Nathalie had been together for about a year. They met in the charming winter village of Saas-Fee, nestled in the Swiss Alps. Because the village is so remote, there aren’t many options for a first date—but they found the perfect spot.
Interestingly, their first date took place exactly where this session happened. Being back there brought back memories, laughter, and playful jokes about how awkward they felt at first, unsure how to carry themselves or pose naturally.
During the session, you can see the joy in their eyes and the depth of their love. They played together like children, laughed freely, and shared a connection that is both tender and genuine. Capturing these moments reminded me that love is often found in the simplest, most playful interactions and that returning to a special place can make those memories even more vivid.

They met in the charming winter village named Saas-Fee, nestled in the Swiss Alps. Because the town is so remote, there aren’t many options for a first date to take place (without the whole town noticing) but they found the perfect spot. When you hike a bit down in the valley there is this small white chappel with butter yellow details and a picknick table where they had their first date enjoying what they both love most: the outdoors
When I send them the location for the session and they arrived they were just a beacon of light sharing that their first date
took place in this exact location! Being back down there brought back the memories of the first (kind of awkard) meeting, the laughter, and playful jokes about how their love felt so innocent at first, feeling unsure how to carry themselves or pose naturally.
During the session and in the photos you can see the pure joy and the depth of their love in their eyes . They played together like children, laughed freely, and shared a connection that is both tender and genuine. Capturing these moments reminded me that love is often found in the simplest, most playful interactions and that returning to a special place where the initial connection was sparked can make those memories even more vivid.
